3C UV Light by Streamlight October 29, 2008 Fairly nice light but too bulky and the Xenon bulb is not as good as the new K2 L.E.D.'s out there, I sold mine and purchased an Element K2 at Sams Club a 2 pack for $24.95 and bought a separate UV light and I am much happier, the 4 L.E.D UV I purchased is brighter than the 3C UV streamlight and batteries are more common for rechargeables AAA.
Nice flashlight... Questionable Blacklight October 12, 2008 I guess you can't expect one product to do it all can you. This works great as an everyday flashlight but isn't that great in the blacklight department. It was picky on what it would pick up. We also had a cheap blacklight that would pick up more than this one.
Well Built Flashlight September 26, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Within the first 10 minutes of use, my son accidentally dropped the unit on the tile floor. No damage - no marks. Outstanding. As a flashlight, this baby puts out a strong adjustable beam. The UV light is marginally adequate. Overall, a well built flashlight that should last for many years.
Very Well Built September 9, 2008 I am pretty impressed with the quality of the flashlight casing. It does seem very durable although I havent tested it. I also like the weight. The light is not totally uniform but it has a good brightness in both UV and regular mode. I also liked the lifetime warranty info on the package.
The only down side is that using the UV light may bother your eyes some. Thats not the flashlight though, its the fact that its UV. I understand some people wear yellow protective goggles when using UV, I might get some.
Now I can find the scorpions before they find me! August 16, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this after finding scorpions were taking over my house. They were coming through the bathroom exhaust fans, through doors and on packages. They had full run of the house while we were cowering in the corners...not any more mister!!! We started hunting them with this awesome little light, 2 months and 154 scorpions later we can finally go to bed without shaking the sheets out, put on shoes without beating them against the wall for 15 minutes and walk around at night without all of the lights on. We use this nightly around the block walls in the back yard where we find the most. The moulding around the doors used to have a couple waiting to get in and the palm trees were infested but for the second night in a row we have not found a single one! The most amazing thing is finding the baby ones in the house, there is no way you would be able to see them without this light! According to the Internet bark scorpions can have up to 100 babies at a time and I guarantee you would not know she brought them in until you were stung a few hundred times. When we hear our neighbors screaming and see the pest control guy pull up we just laugh remembering how we acted before we found "the light"
