Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
When the Power Goes Out, Light Up the Darkness. It's a standout in the innovative line of Garrity emergency rechargeables, a hand-held flashlight that only uses one outlet, leaving the second one free. At night, a red LED indicates charging and location, so you can find it in the dark. Other than that, it seems like an ordinary flashlight that happens to be plugged into the wall. But when the power fails, look out. The Garrity E3 comes to life, its super bright auto beam illuminates the room for up to 60 minutes of bright, continuous light.

2 out of 5 stars Garrity Rechargable Flashlight   November 12, 2008

It is about 1/2 the size, and 2 batteries only, of the 4 battery light I thought I was replacing. I probably did not read the fine print but that big difference was not apparent.

This is a poor excuse for a rechargeable flashlight. It will stay lit for less than 10 minutes max. I bought 2 of them and they are both junk. Do not buy Garrity rechargeables.Garrity Industries E300G Power Failure Rechargeable Flashlight

5 out of 5 stars handy   March 27, 2008
THIS PRODUCT COMES IN REAL HANDY IN A BLACKOUT. THERE'S NO SEARCHING FOR CANDLES AND IF THERE IS A SEARCH FOR CANDLES YOU HAVE LIGHT TO FIND THEM. YOU ALWAYS KNOW WHERE IT IS.

5 out of 5 stars Garrity Industries E300G Flashlight   December 7, 2007
This is a great product, and a very practical one for the everyday household. No installation necessary--just plug it into an electrical outlet. Easy to use. And best of all, the batteries are replaceable so it is a lifetime product.

I already had one that I had used for several years and decided to buy two more--pleased to see they are still being made because so many items these days are way too complicated and too high tech. This unit is reliable, easy to use and affordable.

This is also a practical gift to give to people for a wedding present or moving in to a new home.

Five stars for sure!! Unfortunately it's made in China, but it seems like everything is these days.

3 out of 5 stars low battery life   May 13, 2007

Great concept, however, the directions say the battery will only last up to 1 hour. doesn't really serve the purpose of having emergency lighting
