Both my original and replacement have developed bubbles and don't reliably point North. Marble's has been bought out... it's now Chinese made junk sold as a quality product.

This is a competent, basic compass, suitable for general direction keeping. It is not a precision instrument.
The brass safety-pin attachment is weak, and liable to failure. I have lost a couple of these. There is, however, a hole in the mounting plate, that will accept a safety string. (Dope Rope.)
The Marbles' pin-on is a standard part of my gear.
