Amazon.com Product Description The Well Spring pack is a lightweight hydration pack designed for short day trips. It comes equipped with a 2-liter Cyclone bladder, a high-tech hydration system made of taste-free polyurethane. It's been constructed with an opening that fits around the Cyclone bladder's easy-grip cap, so that bladder does not need to be removed for filling. Neoprene sides allow for easy bladder loading. Abundant reflective tape provides an added safety feature for nighttime use. Outdoor Products' packs are designed with comfort in mind. This model features a deluxe padded back with Outdoor Products' Air Way cooling system, which allows air to travel to hard-to-reach places, keeping the user cooler. It also sports adjustable elastic sternum straps for added comfort and flexibility. The Well Spring pack has a capacity of 220 cubic inches. It measures 17 x 7.5 inches, and weighs 1 pound, 2 ounces. Great Value September 30, 2008 So far I have taken this on every ride since I got it. After a dozen or so uses, either the plastic taste is gone or I am just used to it. The 2 liters combined with a water bottle is plenty of water for me with enough left over in case something happens. One trail, in a comedy or errors and to the amusement of my friends, I misjudged a log at medium speeds. I went over the handlebars and landed square on my back. It was the most comfortable fall I have ever had on a bike. Upon inspection, there was absolutely no damage to the hydra pack. I just wished the pockets were a little bigger.
Quality product and great for trail running August 6, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love this hydration pack. It's really held up well on some long trail runs. It's light and if you adjust the straps just right, you'll hardly notice it after a while. You can actually store quite a bit too in the pack (energy bars, bug repellent, a bundled up poncho or slicker). No complaints here and a lot cheaper than the Camelback line.
Totally worth 22$ June 14, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
totally worth 22$. I thought I was going to get a lower quality because this was so inexpensive, but this is perfect. I just ran a 10k race in the heat and this was a life-saver.
the mouthpiece was a little difficult to break-in at first and leaks a little if theres too much pressure, but all-in-all certainly worth the money if you use it once/week for running or biking or all-day events.
like any water sack you MUST CLEAN IT OUT and take apart to air dry!
You get what you pay for February 17, 2008 Bought this on sale, for about 1/2 the cost of the Camelback "Classic". But I rarely use it since no matter what I do, it leaks. It leaks at the joint where the drinking tube attaches to the bladder. After about the 3rd use, a velcro patch used to close the top of the pack started unstiching from the pack. I would not recommend this product.
Not as great as thought to be May 2, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This Hydration pack not only tasted horrible on first use (even after a nice rinse out) it has continuously tasted horrible throughoyut all of my rides since I bought it. The taste of plastic s nauseating . When you are riding for long period of time and you ojnly have plastic tasting water to drink, it will do, but should be avoided. I tried to rinse it out using lemon juice to no avail. It still tastes horrible.
The pack is going to be absolutly great when it stops tasting so bad. The pockets are nice and the design is sturdy.
