 Does what it is supposed to do. June 27, 2008
This product works like it is described. It does a great job of putting odd framed bikes onto a standard bike rack. The mountain bike that I have has a suspension frame that made it difficult to mount onto a rack. The other bike is my wifes, a womens bike, and it also worked well. It is very sturdy and durable. The one advice that I would give when using it is to make sure your seat is securely attached, as this is where the adapter locks onto. Have not used any other adapters, so I cant compare them to any others.

My sister and I bought adult tricycles. The Saris crossbar makes it easy to transport our trikes to beautiful places.

The Saris Bike Beam has made loading my women's bike onto the Saris Bones trunk rack much easier. Once on the rack, the bike sits with greater security and is transported with ease. I'm very happy I made the decision to buy this product. V. Collins
Great Bar, Great Value!! April 5, 2008
Purchased to mount my irregular shaped frame on a new trunk rack. I've seen other inferior bars with no locking or telescoping feature selling for 10-15 dollars more. This bar is strong, won't scratch my frame and is worth the cost.

Bought bike carrier and realized that women's bikes could not be loaded without an adapter. The Saris crossbar adapter goes on and off easily and does the job, i.e., the bike can be loaded onto the carrier. The price and service through Amazon was good and the delivery was speedy.
