Editorial Reviews:
Product Description These new E.C.O. ("Earth Conscious Offering") mats from prAna are WAY COOL. They have a great textured surface, attractive rounded edges, and the two-toned color combinations are unique and eye-catching. And most importantly, these Earth Conscious yoga mats offer a closed-cell construction that is designed to decompose in landfills, over time leaving behind only water and biodegradable components. Made from TPE (thermoplastic elastamer), this mat provides the strength, durability, and performance needed for the most rigorous and consistent of practices and uses no toxic materials in its production. These mats are PVC-free and contain no latex or rubber of any kind. 3/16"x24"x72" (4" longer than a standard yoga mat)

Don't bother January 29, 2008 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
This mat is excellent in theory- PVC free and environmentally stable. Sadly, however, that is about all it provides. Bulky set aside, the mat is slippery. My wrists have been soar due to the way I have to hold myself in downward dog seeing as there is little to no traction, and my hands slowly slide up the mat. As I slip, the mat scrunches and shifts in position instead of laying still on the floor. I am very unhappy with this mat, and would highly discourage purchashing it. I feel that I am slowly developing a wrist injury due to using this mat, which is unfortunate, seeing as I have a daily practice and had planned to use this mat for the next year to year and a half.

I love the texture of this mat, especially if doing hot yoga or ashtanga. My only concern is that after 6 mos. the foot and hand spots have completely disintegrated. I leave a mess and I'm sad that it won't last, especially at this price.
