Product Description The Pacific Outdoors 17-SZ1032 SubZero Snowshoes feature an anodized T6 aluminum frame that is lightweight, attractive, and strong. The rear and toe decks are made of tough, durable Lytex, and sturdy Hypalon wraps all around. Toe-wrap bindings surround your feet to provide support and comfort while walking. For outstanding traction up and down hills, the snowshoes feature double-claw aluminum crampons. And to prevent toe-hooking and snow from flying up in your face, Pacific Outdoors designed these snowshoes with toe-rod pivots and spring-back bindings. The design features a tapered frame for better maneuverability, and a narrow tail to reduce the chance of cross-stepping. These snowshoes are built to support up to 275 pounds, and the adjustable heel strap fits nearly all boot and shoe sizes.

Pacific Outdoors Subzero Snowshoe September 30, 2008 I bought a pair of these for a winter camping trip and had problems the first trip out. Two of the buckles broke where the strap goes through the buckle. Other than the buckles, the snowshoes seem to be okay. I have purchased new buckles and will be replacing all buckles on the snowshoes. I only used them the one trip but will be using them again this winter. I bought them because they were reasonably priced and I don't do a lot of snowshoeing. If you buy these you will want to replace the plastic buckles with buckles of better quality.
great snowshoes June 5, 2008 These are great little snow shoes, the floatability of them is fantastic. I weigh about 220, with gear, probably 230 and they performed great!
Not reliable February 8, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
A plastic retaining clip broke the first time I used the shoes in the outdoors. Temp around 30 oF (0 oC). Not recommended.
Easy on and off January 27, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Three simple straps make a snug fit over toes and around the heel. Just pull to tighten and lift the buckle tabs to loosen. They come off easier than they go on. The ice-gripping teeth are well-placed (right in the middle)and very effective on glare ice. Pretty durably built, too. A good deal for the price.
Do the job! January 19, 2008 I bought these for my husband for Christmas, but he really needed them when we spent the holiday at our cottage in Northern New York State on the Canadian-US border.
That area had received significant snowfall just prior to our arrival but getting into our property and also around the grounds made it so much easier with these practical snowshoes.
We give them our highest endorsement!
