This is the Hyperformance model--a high-end level wheel for an experienced skater who is looking for a fast, durable wheel. Whether you race or just like to go fast--this is the kind of wheel that gives you some turbopower and kicks it up a notch for you. These wheels are an 80mm size and do not fit on all skates so take a moment to check to make sure if you have never had wheels of this size. The 84 durometer is ideal for outdoor skating on rough outdoor roads, asphalt and other hard surfaces. It is slightly harder than the average wheel which tends to give you a more efficient, streamlined footprint generating more speed with less drag/friction. The profile is built for straight line speed. The hub is for 688 MICRO hubs ONLY--it will not fit standard 608 hubs. If you are unsure look at your bearing--the EXACT measurement from the outer diameter must be 5/8" or 15mm. This wheel is designed to be lighter than the typical wheel and provide more rebound. Simply put- less of your power is absorbed by the wheel and more of it is converted into SPEED. The hub is the 5-star race hub--light and strong. The wheel is a smoky gray color and the hub is black. So what's the deal with micro bearings anyway??? Weight! The bearings weigh roughly 35-40% less than regular bearings and because they are smaller you can use a wheel with a larger hub and less urethane. As a result the actual micro hub wheels weigh roughly 20% less per wheel.
