About K2 In February of 1961 the first pair of fiberglass skis was produced by brothers Bill and Don Kirschner in their Vashon Island, Washington shop. The Kirscners, avid skiers, built fiberglass animal cages for medical use and were convinced that their process could build a ski that was lighter, stronger, and more lively than the wood and metal skis of the day. They really just wanted to build some cool skis for themselves and their friends. And the rest, as they say, is history. Much has changed since those early days on sleepy Vashon Island, but one thing has not: K2 is still a bunch of adrenaline junkies who just want to make some cool stuff for themselves and their friends. Today, K2 Inc. is a premier, branded consumer products company with a portfolio of leading brands including Shakespeare and Stearns for marine and outdoor products, Rawlings and Worth for team sports, K2 and Brass Eagle for action sports, and Marmot and Ex Officio for apparel and footwear. K2's diverse products includes fishing, watersports activities, baseball, softball, alpine skiing, snowboarding, and inline skating.

After 1000 miles, I still like them September 4, 2008 I have the K2 Exo 6.1, which is almost exactly the same as the Moto.
I love it for everyday exercise (on concrete path).
Pros: Speedlace system is very handy. Padding is comfortable and holds up well. It comes with a combination of 80mm & 84mm wheels, but it's better with all 84mm wheels which will fit, no problem (just flip the spacers).
Cons: The wheels that come with it are 80A hardness and wear out too fast. Much better with 84mm 84A wheels. You can get a complete set of these (Rollerblade brand with ABEC7 bearings included) for about 40 bucks if you search online.
K2 Fitness Skates May 16, 2008 I can't think of one complaint. I do remember a complaint made by others about these skates that I was worried about. Some didn't like the quick laces and said that the string broke after the first use or their first few uses. I could see it breaking if you pull it to hard, but there's no need to pull that hard on the lace. Once you have your foot in, all you need to do is give the string a little tug and you're good go. So far, these are the best in-line I've ever owned.
Daily use and daily wear April 17, 2008 I purchased these with the intention of skating on blacktop. The skate is comfortable, and it has a nice easy to get on and off design. I have 2 issues with the skate, one is the wheel hardness. They seem to be really soft wheels, and they wear rapidly. I have had to rotate them once every 4 days, and am already looking into buying new wheels. The second issue is the heel brake, which wouldn't be annoying if another axle was included that would allow me to take off the brake without causing looseness in the back wheel. I figured I could just swap the axle with another in the middle of the foot, but decided against it.
Over all its a great skate for a decent price. The free shipping is what made me take a shot at using them.
Excellent Skates - Highly Recommended March 29, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
These skates are a nice step forward in the evolution of skating. They are extremely comfortable and durable. I especially like the quick lace system. What a dream! I've been very impressed with the quality of these skates and recommend this product to anyone. I will be purchasing some ceramic bearings in the future to make them even faster. Well worth the money.
As to the nay sayers on this thread that are giving it one star: There are defective products from time to time. They are pretty rare when you look at the big picture. You don't need to make a product look poor because of your one experience. At least you obtained a refund. Please be more polite next time you post.
Everything as advertised February 9, 2008 After dealing with conventional laces for years, the quick lace system is welcome relief - quick, easy and stays tight. The ski boot style ankle support is also quick and provides the need support. Fit is excellent, very comfortable. I've noted no quality issues.
