Good mid-priced ball November 25, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These are a good compromise between price and performance. The HX Hot is a good ball for the average golfer. While the 'feel' will never be mistaken for a Titleist Pro V1, it is not hard as a rock like cheapo Top-Flites or even Callaway Warbirds. Distance is very good, and they are durable. A very good ball for about $25 a dozen.
HX Hot November 16, 2008 Decent enough ball for the price. Seems to be slightly longer than other balls I've used, but it's obviously not going to take you into the Re/MAX long drive category. The feel is acceptable as is the bite on the greens. It's not a pro tour premium ball like a Pro V1, but it's a step up from the average run of the mill ball such as TopFlites. I'd buy them again.
I love this ball! May 24, 2008 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I love It! The Callaway Hot is very long off the tee and looks cool too with the Orange V on it. I'm in my 60's, and don't have a vicious swing, but I've picked up a few yards compared with other balls that are just a little cheaper. It may not offer the bite on the green that the Hot Bite offers which are $5 a box more, but it is great if you like to pitch and roll it. But if you like to swing easy, and get more distance, this is one of the best!
Great ball, Bad price July 6, 2007 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I found these balls at wal-mart for $24 out the door. As for the ball..Very Very good off the tee but not as good when chipping on to the green. It goes to far no mater how slow I swing...so I guess I just need to make it to the green on the 2nd shot....
Great, affordable Callaway golf balls June 27, 2007 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
These golf balls are wonderful to hit. I'm not a great golfer but I do notice a difference when I play with the Callaway Hot. I seem to get a lot of distance out of them, and so does my mom (who has a slower swing and doesn't hit very far). The best part about these balls, in my opinion, is the price--you can find them for around $25 if you look hard enough. While this is not my favorite golf ball I'd highly recommend it to anyone wanting to add some distance to their shot at an affordable price.
