Pretty Good August 15, 2008 I like this one a lot. So much better than any other I've owned. I'm not a serious frisbee player, I just like to fool around with one on the weekends, but this has got good grip and the size is perfect.
lies lies lies May 29, 2008 I'm just so offended that the "free DVD" does NOT come in the package AS HINTED in the description. You have to mail away for it. I have zero tolerance for this sort of dis-honesty from a manufacturer.
Wham-o's suck May 3, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
As a college ultimate frisbee player, I can tell you right now that playing with a disc from Wham-o is a BIG no-no. If you bring one of these to practice, you will be ridiculed. If an ultimate player sees you with one of these, you will be ridiculed.
Save yourself the trouble and buy a disc from Discraft. They feel better in the hand, and their edges aren't as sharp. Throwing a forehand with a Wham-o disc hurts.
Go with the Discraft 175g Ultra Star April 11, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
All organized ultimate played in the United States and most of the world uses the Discraft Ultra Star: Discraft Ultra Star - White.
This is not a bad product, but I rate this low since there is a better option out there for a lower price.
The differences are subtle, but certainly are noticable with a different feel on the grip and thickness of the disc.
With that being said, any 175g disc is going to be light years better to any freebie "frisbee" and cheap disc you buy. You'll throw farther, more accurate, and have much more control with a 175g disc especially if you're having trouble in windier conditions.
Good balance, good flight, great buy February 25, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
It's been almost a year since I've owned this frisbee and while I haven't had the opportunity to throw it a lot, it's been a pleasure each time I get the chance. It certainly replaces the good quality 175 I had before my dog got to it. I like 175g discs because they aren't affected by normal breezes and have enough weight to carry momentum a long distance. But are not so heavy that they take a strong person to throw and/or catch. This is a great all-around frisbee.
