As far as style goes, these are a non competitor (see below). As far as function goes, they work. Deep pockets and features like the adjustable waist could go a long way on a hike or somthing, plus the quick dry feature.
Let me add - Made In China. I take it they could poison me or perhaps randomly combust because of this fact, but so far none of the above.
I got a small, which in most brands fits or is maybe a little smidge loose on me.
These are huge. Not unlike if I tied a series of paper bags to my legs.
The adjustible waist hardly helps. When I try to wear them low, the crotch is about 10 inches too long. When I pull them to my waist they look not so flattering and bunched around the middle. I'm long waisted, too.
The pockets are too long, so I couldn't try to roll the legs up much to make them look cuter (as they are, the legs are also big and flare out like two wrinkley skirts on my legs).
The fabric is ok, for nylon it is very comfortable and yes, quick drying.
It doesn't sound like nylon, that swish thing.
The back pocket is enforced with a velcro closure, which is easy and more secure.
These were ok for riding my bike all day, cool and comfortable, though because of the bigness of the legs I worried they would fly up and I would flash everyone.
