Great for the $ August 23, 2008 This unit shuffles well and I modified it to run from electric in lieu of batteries.
One of the springs came off of the table that lowers when the cards are shuffled and I had to place it back on the peg.
I'm buying two more of these for friends.
shuffler was just what we needed June 27, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
One of the card games we play uses 5 to 7 decks of cards (depending on how many are playing). Manually shuffling that many cards is a real pain, especially if small or arthritic hands are involved! We found one of these shufflers on our travels, and EVERYONE wanted one. I ordered 7 more and gave them away to family & friends -- they are still thanking us.
Ours has had heavy use, and is still working fine and on the first set of batteries. One side feeder sometimes needs a slight lift on the outside edge of the cards in order to feed smoothly (no big deal, but you might try it if one side feeds faster than the other). We found that some cheaper cards can have their edges roughed up by the process, but most cards stay newer longer because they are not being bent across the middle.
It's a little noisier, but we actually enjoy shuffling now, and one of the kids stated that the machine could keep him amused for hours even without a game.
did not work January 15, 2007 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
After receiving the card suffler, I tried to suffle cards with very little success. One side worked while the other side did not work. I was not able to suffle cards. This makes the product useless. I am dissatisfied with the card suffler.
